Some photos I took near Narbonne, France 🙂

Right now I’m stuck in the photography/filmography universe, just tryin’ to make better images. And I stumbled upon the term “Color grading”, you have a hint of what it’s about… but I needed to be sure, so I searched the term on YouTube, and discovered this SO MUCH GREAT (and short) explanation of the subject!
I WANT to make color grading now ^_^

Lately I’ve watched two very good documentaries about the movement of illegal skateparks building.
The first one is Treasure Island. It’s about a bunch of guys building an hidden illegal skatepark, on Treasure Island, a semi-abandoned place between San Francisco and Oakland. We see the construction of the skatepark from the very beginning, to it’s completion (the documentary was filmed over two years).
… But the city come to discover the spot… and that’s all, live with that, I don’t say more 😀
I REALLY liked this one. So much DIY spirit!
The second one is about two guys and a bunch of friends who start the movement of building illegal skateparks and become a major international company for building the best skateparks in the universe.
A very good outlook at the skateboard community, with some amazing characters!

I saw Bone Bridage last weekend and it was really fascinating! The story of a bunch of kids who created skateboarding…like all the tricks we see today, they created it!
It made me think of the book “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell… a story like that is made of opportunity, luck and furious passion combined. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, you can’t create something like that on your own. Fascinating!

A very interesting little documentary (10 minutes) about the work of a team to re-create a map of the New York subway system, which is historically known for being monstrously complex, into a map with real-time updates, to best help locals and tourists get around.

A good video for learning how to make a good playlist. There are lots of examples of which music to link with which, depending on rhythm, style etc…

A mini-series in which a dog talks about his life. It tackles a variety of subjects: loneliness, growing old… It’s both simple and profound, sometimes funny and always superbly realized!
